I give this specific Public Storage a high 4. The issue I had first renting was finding the exact location. Probably because I had just moved to this area and was not aware of the recent historical changing of the main road name, yet to be reflected on the Public Storage website. I also am rating based on my collective experiences (compared) to other Public Storage facilities I have rented in Northern Virginia. If the address was not an issue to find online and I was not comparing it to other facilities, it could be a 5 star rating for having a well functioning, clean and affordable storage renting experience.

Britney and Mr. Mark were so helpful with the process in getting my unit; they made sure I understood everything related to the rent and left everything all set for me. They were polite, professional and informative with all my alternative options. They are a great asset for Public Storage.

I recently visited the Public Storage in Sterling, VA, and had a fantastic experience thanks to Brittney. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all my questions. Brittney made the entire process of renting a storage unit smooth and stress-free, guiding me through every step and providing all the information I needed. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out. I highly recommend this location, especially if you get the chance to work with Brittney. She truly goes above and beyond to ensure customers are satisfied!

Our family needed a unit after my father passed of pancreatic cancer. This location increased storage fees every 6 months or so for a simple 10x10 unit. The starting fee was $160/month, and increased to a whopping $475/month over the course of a couple years. Due to circumstances outside of our control, we were unable to clear the storage unit during these increases. Unless we wanted lose family mementos and deal with a credit nightmare, we were basically forced to pay the exorbitant fees. This is extremely predatory behavior by Public Storage and those who manage this particular location. We were recently able to get back to the area to start clearing the unit. And what do you know? Literally the day after accessing the unit, the fees were dropped to $380/month (which is still absolutely insane.) It’s almost as if they knew the fee increases were unethically excessive, and in a last ditch effort to keep milking a cash cow, dropped the fee once they saw we were starting to empty the unit. If you only plan on needing storage for a couple months, this place is probably more than fine. The facility was relatively clean (despite a rodent problem, multiple mouse carcasses were found around the grounds with one being in our unit) and we never had a problem accessing the unit. If you plan to store anything here long-term, or otherwise won’t be able to access your unit periodically, be prepared to experience fee increases every 3-6 months. And expect to those fees to increase exponentially. It probably won’t change anything, but hopefully this review nudges Management evaluate how they view and treat their customers. Shame on you, Public Storage.

Reserved a spot at this location for a coast to coast move. The property manager, Mark, could not have been more helpful. He took the time to walk the property with me to make sure we have everything we need to get all of our belongings into our new unit efficiently. Big moves are often accompanied by a lot of angst, help like Mark's go a long way. I have not experienced genuine customer care like this at any business in quite a while—it's very refreshing. Highly recommend this location.
