Used them for many years to store my RV. Only stopped because I moved out of the state. Price was very affordable and they have covered and uncovered options. 24 hour access was awesome and the billing was simple. Had a small billing mixup after I had cancelled my account and they were very responsive and quick to fix it. Couldn't really ask for more, I highly recommend them.
We've had storage here for many years. It is an outdoor storage facility so the poor reviews on here make me scratch my head because there's certain things that come along with a non-climate controlled facility exposed to the elements and nature. We've had a storage unit here two different times for many years. We've never had any issues. The location is convenient and secure. If you are concerned about pests - set out your own bait inside your unit - it's that simple. If you have maintenance concerns - contact the owners and allow them time to address it. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We HIGHLY recommend using Rockwall Mini Storage for your storage needs.
When I encounter a great business, I have to let everybody know. Well, I encountered one here at Rockwall Mini-Storage. I first want to say that the woman who runs the place is absolutely fantastic. She is very professional and personable. I have used storage facilities many times in my life and I feel like a lot of them are borderline crooks, but that is not at all what I experienced here. Secondly, I really appreciated the price. I kept an RV here for 2 years and it was safe the entire time. They offer covered and uncovered parking alike, along with a large storage facility for random things. And they offer them all at a very good price. Dumpster Drama & Rusty Doors – What a Joke If you're considering this place, think twice — then think again. I signed up for storage, not to be treated like a criminal for tossing a bag of trash. While I was at my unit, I used the dumpster — ONE TIME — and out comes the manager charging at me like I was disposing of a body. Seriously, it was a small, broken shelf, and the guy made a scene as if I’d violated some sacred ritual. It turns out that you're allowed two trash bags per month. Yes, you read that right — two bags, per month. According to the angry lecture I got, that’s the rule. God forbid you accidentally generate a third bag — might trigger an exorcism. Meanwhile, I’m paying top dollar for a unit that appears to have been abandoned after the Cold War. Rusty doors that barely open, latches that won’t slide, and not a single maintenance person in sight. But don’t worry — they’re friendly when it’s time to collect your overpriced storage fee. Bottom line? This place is a mess — and not just disorganized, I mean full-on biohazard status. There are rat droppings scattered all over like confetti at a disease parade. The smell hits you the second you open your unit — that unmistakable ammonia stench of rodent urine baked into everything. I have to wear a mask just so I’m not breathing in whatever toxic airborne nastiness rat pee and droppings release — probably hantavirus, or whatever lovely cocktail of filth these rodents are carrying.
Be aware of misleading information. I’ve had storage units here for a long time. Last year I saw an empty unit that was larger than mine as they were hard to come by. I went ti the office to inquire about it. Unit 165. They told me it was available therefore I asked for the upgrade to that unit and signed the contract and moved my stuff there. Granted we use this to store tools for my business and I’m in and out if there almost daily. Yesterday I went by to get tools for a job and realized they had cut my lock off and placed their own. Leaving me stranded for the job causing me a loss of hundreds of dollars. I emailed the office and called and left a message to ask why as they were closed. Santos called me back, I asked why they locked me out of my unit, he said I’m supposed to be in unit 161 so he changed the lock. I told him I’ve had unit 165 for almost a year and they are just now saying this? and he changed my lock without any notification ??????? Not an email a call, a letter??? He said unit 165 was more expensive. I told him that was not my problem. At the time I got 165 that was the only vacant unit they had and they gave it to me. He can’t just change tie lock and lock me out of my belongings without notification and just because he feels like it. He tells me, I’m going to remove the lock so you can come move your stuff out to 161. I told him no. I have work and can’t move everything out nor am I going to because they made the mistake. Not me. I told him if they made a mistake misquoting the price that’s on them not me. If he gave me unit 165 for that price that’s his problem. At that time unit 161 was occupied therefore there’s no way they would’ve given me 161. I told him they can’t penalize me for their error. Even more, leave my storage unit unlocked with thousands and thousands of dollars worth of tools in it. He then proceeds to say “I’m removing the lock” and hangs up on me. I had to drop what I was doing to head there to put a new lock on my unit as he just removed it and left it unlocked. This is extremely bad customer service, not to mention that they caused me a loss of hundreds of dollars, time, money, and the hassle of having to deal with with this issue for hours when it was an internal error on their end. And hanging up on me without a resolution is just plain unprofessional, rude, and not a good way of handling business.
