National Storage - Dayton - Woodman Drive

The customer service reps were friendly and Angie is a standout when it came to making arrangements and handling issues. Unfortunately she is the only admin working between several sites that are miles away from each other (Woodman Drive and Salem Avenue) I had an emergency and needed to get into my unit in December, the sign said "Open" and no one was available. Due to the weather, the NON-WEATHER PROOF lock that National Storage provided was rusted and my key broke off. I called and called and called, no one was in the office, and all the national call center could do was send an 'escalated email' with no guarantee or timeframe when I would be contacted back. After praying (literally) and calling over and over again, finally a rep was able to locate Angie, who was handling an issue at the Salem Ave location. There was no other way to remove my lock, but for her to get an actual buzz saw and cut it off. I dread to think what would have happened if no one had been available at all that day, or the next day, etc. The company also did not advise of the huge, unpredictable increase after my move-in special ended, or how expensive late fees were at the beginning of my contract. I had had a house fire and was in dire need of storage immediately, and I felt slightly taken advantage of. Again, Angie (who was stretched thin between multiple locations) and the customer service reps were extremely friendly and professional, however, the business practices are a reason to avoid this storage company. Management is NEVER on site. I was in my unit for almost a year before I even got to speak with the actual manager (Rose, Melissa, I guess?) and not a 'concierge' from the national customer service line. Long story short: I have happily moved into an interior unit for $96.00 less a month at U-Haul Storage location. I wouldn't recommend National Storage.

Kevin helped us out, in showing the 10x15 thay we needed. Clean location, newly built and added onto. Very nice place, looking forward to moving our items in. Along w really good price $1 first month, + admin fee. Good prices for the unit!

So I got a storage unit today and Kevin helped me with everything. Couldn’t have gone any smoother. Kevin is such a nice person and he knows his stuff and takes a lot of pride in how the place looks. When I was pulling up, he was outside picking up the property which is so nice and clean. They took really good care of the place and their customers. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Angie was having family emergency problems. You would not know but we connected enough to where she shared this with me. She was so very professional , helpful, and, very thorough. I now consider her a friend. The place looked very clean, secure, and safe. She showed us many options. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. The prices are competitive and fair. I would recommend this facility and would return here if ever I need to store anything else.

Kevin was super helpful in getting me set up with a storage unit to best fit my needs and very friendly. The storage unit was perfect, very clean and maintained well. Very pleased with my experience being able to get a unit on short notice with ease.
