Great experience at Extra Space Storage. Ron was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very easy going throughout the whole process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made getting set up quick and stress-free. Customer service like this really makes a difference. Highly recommend this location, especially if you get help from Ron!

Do not store your stuff with extra space storage. All of my belonging were in two units at the location on young street in Tonawanda for over five months. When me and my family moved our stuff out we found water damage and mold over all of our stuff. Kazi the manager told me it’s not a big deal that’s why you have insurance and it’s an easy process to file a claim. Well that was nothing but lies. We took many pictures and filed our claim back in November with all the proof of everything. All for there insurance you pay for threw ESIS to deny our claim after 35 days because the management at extra space storage dropped the ball and told them that no water or anything was leaking in there units to there knowledge. How would they know a month later if it was truly leaking if the units are occupied and hasn’t rained as much with it being winter and them not being certified people to check the structure? All of our furniture. My kids bed sets, clothes and other house hold items adding up to over 10,000 were thrown in the garbage. We paid for insurance for those two units for nothing! They are a scam and so is the insurance they want you to get. DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY AND WATCH WHAT YOU STORE IN THEIR UNITS IF YOU WANT IT TO GET DESTROYED AND THEM DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. Shame on you kazi, Dave and Brian which are the managers for the Buffalo area for not being truthful and lying to the insurance adjusters so you wouldn’t have a claim at your location.

If i could give this storage unit place Zero Stars I would They have been so unprofessional My storage unit lock was mysteriously missing off my unit i was notified weeks later they proceeded to call me an say they are not too sure how long it was off for which then tells me in the same breath they do weekly checks on all the units well how did you not know how long my lock was missing for which i purchased from them Then tells me they tell me they didnt have to even notify me Then my monthly price jumped significantly without notice Lets fast forward to today i go to check on my unit lock broken off again boxes rummaged through water leaking all over my stuff and the manager Doug couldnt even make eye contact with me when i went into office to address this issue an they just brushed me off I do not recommend using this facility maybe other locations are better but not this one the Management is very rude an unprofessional

I feel that the office on covin is a beautiful place, but the price difference between all the facilities, it's not very helpful to people who want to rent in certain areas. I feel that I had to go way out of my area just to rent at a price that I can afford. And then trying to get help with pricing customer service told me they can help, then they transfer me to someone else. It did not help me. I was offered a free month got to the second representative and then they didn't give me a free month then I had to change the facility again, because the process was not done properly right and then I had to come out of my own pocket. And pay up front, I feel like the whole process was handled. Very incorrectly and even speaking with assistant manager at the facility bag decided to rent at he was not helped either. It was just a big inconvenience all over and we were not thrilled that their prices change every three months, even if you do pay upfront. When people decide to use storage facilities, you do not want to move in 3 months. Storage facilities are for the long term.And that for short term.
