Warning This storage has no bathroom. I've been with this storage since 2023. I successfully transferred my 5×10 unit into a 10 ×10 unit since my unit was paid for, I only had to pay for the remaining amount. Which was great and made sense. Even though the new unit has a huge pillar inside as you can view in the picture below. Since I became pregnant I realized I would need more space that the pillar takes up. I paid my unit which was $131 and looked for a better available storage. For a 10×10 with fees the total would be $123. So then I reached out to customer service to see if I can receive a transfer of funds to this new unit, they agreed that after I paid for the new unit that the difference that I paid for my current unit will be refunded since I will be closing that one out. The day after my payment I was on my way to confirm my new unit with manager when the district called and disagreed with customer service that I will not be refunded and I will have to keep my pillar unit for the remaining month. They insisted on canceling my autopay and my move out date which was the next day. The next day I called the manager, customer service and the remote district back on the issue because now I have a empty unit that was demanded I keep. Each of them said that they would look into it and give me a call back with a resolution. It's been a week today with no call back, no resolution with a storage unit that I have to hold until my next payment. I even reached out to the virtual assistant on the site with no reply back. Instead of calling back I decided to create this review with photo documentation. Again I've transferred units before, I'm 7 months pregnant and now under alot of stress thanks to extra storage space management.
The site is always clean and easy to access. The prices are great. Another plus is the staff, they are always friendly and ready to help. I've had a few encounters with the staff member Shazam and he is always courteous and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend!
Shazam was sooo kind and helpful. They definitely need more people like him working there. His customer service is 5 stars!!!! However, the units / facility itself is 1 star. No equipment to move your items, no bathrooms, no access to a trash bin, no outlets, nothing but the 3 walls and a door to your unit. Extra Space Storage took over Life space Storage and all they did was raise the prices, change the colors, remove the hand sanitizer dispensers and let the place go even further.
Shazam was very polite and patient. He even accommodated me when I express concern that the space may not be large enough. He showed me the space so that I was reassured that it was more than enough space for my things. I appreciate it. I will continue to use Extra space storage and recommend the business to my friends and family.
Jorge is wonderful at Customer Service. I was delighted to meet him, he was so good to me and I hope I’ll have the chance to see him again. Perfect for the job.
