$1.06 / sqftSqueeky clean and has everything you could think of being an issue or getting in the way covered. Elevators for luggage with carts to make movig luggage easy. The woman at the front desk deserves a raise solely on how friendly and helpful she was. I wanted to rent the unit just to return the friendly energy this place offers
Very pleased with the facility in general. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great customer service, explained everything well
Great experience, customer service was excellent
Amazing customer service from the beginning to end. Also the place is new clean and close to home
Taegue was extremely helpful when I had to have my lock replaced recently! Thanks for being available and helping in such a timely manor. As for the facility itself, it’s secure, kept very clean and the storage units themselves are great prices for the size options.
I started renting at the South Willow Street facility under another company, but things went downhill after Prime took over. Their staff mostly come across as indifferent at best and sometimes downright sullen...when you can find someone at all. On the upside, they kept the place clean, and there were always preventative rodent-traps in the halls. I never had trouble with the doors or lights not working. On the downside, the mechanical lift (not an elevator--no humans allowed--you must be able to climb stairs to rent a second-floor unit) would break down for months at a time, so one year I had to walk all my Christmas decorations down the stairs from the second floor in November, and back up again in February. In the last year, it has become very difficult to find a functioning flatbed dolly to move things in and out on. The last time I tried, the only one I could find (after scouring the first floor) was missing one wheel, and one of the remaining ones was jammed and didn't move. I even flipped it over and tried to unjam the wheel without success. I essentially had to drag the dolly against the stuck wheel, without tipping it to the corner of the missing wheel. My new storage facility seems to always have at least 4 functioning dollies at each door, each time I arrive, so this is not an impossible task. My experience is that Prime Storage is very expensive (my rates more than tripled under them) for a mediocre experience.
this place invites you in on said rates then waits two months and jacks the rate up. i moved my unit in the same building to lower cost because of a “rent increase off the area” the first time, and their contract states they base rates off the area and then they repeated the same action in the same time frame again and makes you repay a filling fee cuz they screw you and only notify you of these changes by email. bad business, bad policies for customers, the storage was nice buttt moving in our out is torturous with their one time entry doors and business policies.
The inside of the south willow facility is nice and air conditioned, that's about all the good I can say. They will try to hike your storage rent every 3 months. I started at 71$ for a 5x7 unit, by the time I was done with them after 2 years of being an on time and loyal customer I was paying 95$ and it would have been a LOT more had I not had to call them 6-7 times over the years to tell them I wasn't paying a penny more for the unit. It's an automated algorithm that hikes the rent too so it's literally a deliberate scheme to take advantage of people who likely don't have anywhere else to put their things. I urge everyone renting a unit from this place to make a stand and call them to tell them you won't pay the price hike. They will take it off the bill, I made them do it about 7 times. I have zero respect for a company that takes advantage of its customers vulnerability for financial gain. The nice facility doesn't make up for their sheisty business practices. I'll never get a unit here again just on principle and I make sure to tell everyone I know not to do business here.
This location does not appear to be secure, especially considering it is a large company responsible for maintaining safety. I visited on a Saturday December 13th to retrieve some personal belongings, but all of my items became stuck in the elevator. I contacted customer service and learned that their office is based in New York. Unfortunately, no one was available to assist me in resolving the issue locally. The district manager informed customer service that he was unable to send someone to address the problem, nor could maintenance assist remotely. Since becoming a member in June 2025, I have experienced two rent increases, and the level of service has been disappointing. I have been on hold with customer service since 5:30 PM, and as of 7:48 PM, I have not received any follow-up. While customer service apologized and wished me a good night, I find this response unsatisfactory. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with higher management regarding this matter. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the service and cannot recommend this location based on my experience.
