Kelsi from the Swansea MA location was wonderful to work with- I would highly recommend that location due to her exceptional service. She took extra time to show me quite a few options (as well as explain pricing and associated discounts, if any, for each option) so I could easily see the differences in the sizes and find one right for my needs. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful through the entire process and even though I was just starting to look at different facilities, I easily chose Swansea because of Kelsi.
After being here for only 2–3 months, they doubled my rent. Other reviewers have mentioned repeated rate increases, and unfortunately, my experience confirms that in my short period of time being here. I was assured by the manager, Jeremy, that there would be no rent increases for at least a year, which turned out not to be true. I’m not staying to see how much higher it goes.
I signed up for a 10x15 storage unit on June 16th with my family and was quoted a monthly rate of $150. I completed the rental process in person at the Swansea office and paid $179 for the first month, which included initial fees. My July, August, and September payments were each correctly charged at the agreed upon rate of $150. On October 15th, I was unexpectedly charged $250, which was $100 more than my contracted monthly rate. When I contacted the office, I was informed that this charge was an error and that the intended increase was only $10, bringing the monthly rate to $160. I was assured the mistake would be corrected and that future billing would reflect the proper amount. However, in November I was again charged $250. After contacting Prime Storage a second time, I was told the overcharges would be corrected through prorated billing in the following months. On December 15th, I was charged $70, which I understood to be the beginning of the promised correction. However, on January 15th, I was charged $160 instead of receiving the additional prorated adjustment that had been discussed and promised. Only one month was corrected despite assurances that multiple months would be adjusted to account for the overcharges. Shortly thereafter, I discovered that my upcoming February 2026 payment was listed online as $265, representing yet another rate increase within a very short period of time after move in. At this point, there had already been two rate increases since June, along with multiple billing errors that had not been fully resolved. In addition to the billing issues, communication between corporate representatives and the Swansea office has been extremely poor. I have made numerous calls attempting to resolve these issues and was repeatedly told that management would be contacted and that someone would follow up by email. In most cases, no follow up occurred, and it became clear that different representatives were providing inconsistent information with no clear resolution. During this process, I attempted to negotiate a reasonable solution and was offered what was described as a larger 10x20 unit for $150 per month. Upon arriving, it became clear that this was actually two separate units rather than a single larger space, which was not clearly explained beforehand or expressed in the lease agreement. Due to the inconvenience of moving and the ongoing billing concerns, I declined the transfer and instead requested that my existing unit be matched to the rate being offered to new customers. This request was refused. The overall experience has raised serious concerns about transparency and ethical business practices. Multiple rate increases in a short period of time, incorrect charges that were not fully corrected despite assurances, and repeated failures in communication have made this a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Awful! The price increased 3 times in 1 year! I never got my free month. I paid more for a unit near a door, and the door stopped working after a mo. I asked the manager to take money off the price because of that. He said that it wouldn't be a problem, ask they have been trying to get the company that fixes the door code box's. When my next payment was the same, I went back to the front desk to find out he was fired and I was not getting a discount. I promptly told them I will be leaving my unit. The employee (who was vey nice, and so was the manager) told me that they are still "trying" to get the door fixed. Clearly there is a lack of communication, and upper management that is not doing their jobs. However, the person in charge of squeezing every last dime out of their customers, is clearly putting in some work.
The units were clean and dry. Kelsey was great to work with. The facility was always clean and well lit. The price was fair.
There are two easy ways to secure a unit at this storage facility
