Twice now my family has made reservations with StorageMart, and twice when we showed up, we were told that the reserved parking space was already given to someone else and that we could “find something else.” What is the point of a reservation if it means absolutely nothing? To make matters worse, my father later showed up with my RV to park it for me and was refused because I “had to be there in person.” We share the same last name, we were willing to sign a power of attorney, and instead of working with us, staff gave incorrect information, first claiming it was “Maryland state law,” which it is not. Even if it were, a power of attorney is a legally recognized document. Do you not want business? People who are busy, traveling, or out of the country do not always have the luxury of personally parking an RV themselves. Refusing reasonable, legal solutions while also failing to honor reservations is unacceptable. I know the response will be a generic response and to email support for a solution, but that does not excuse being unprofessional, incorrect and wasting people's time. This place wasted our time, caused unnecessary stress, and showed zero flexibility or customer service. I would not recommend StorageMart to anyone who expects professionalism or reliability.

Bad information on the internet when looking at units. The door opening was not big enough to get anything bigger than a dining room chair through it Unit is not a small unit it was 7 X 15. A unit only 5 X 7 was three time the price. Was told this is a very old building so door sizes are not typical throughout the property

So if you are struggling financially and can’t make the payments on time, they will tack on a lot of extra fees that they won’t tell you about until the very day it is due. As in the day before auction, it was $701. (After being told in the beginning of the last month to pay it off was $676) Then on the day of, they charged an extra $100 to where I couldn’t afford to pay it off. Now I had to make a deal to pay half off to get 48 hours to get what we want before they sell the rest off. The gentlemen said it was ‘Four Twenty Eight’, As I’m now rushing back to the bank to rewrite the check for them, getting pulled over by law enforcement in the process trying to use an emergency turn around area.. I had to write a check cause my card was disabled prior to this, and what he meant price wise to say was $400.28, and they won’t give the extra $28 back to someone who’s been unemployed for a few months, so I don’t get that back. Last 48 hours to get things will be mostly rain in the forecast, and we have old wooden furniture we are trying to get out. Only reason I didn’t one star is because the front desk was respectful, and trying to be as accommodating as possible to the situation, only to have their manager/ district manager tell them they couldn’t work with me because it was same day. Will never go back to use another Storage Mart again, and will never recommend to other individuals. Thanks StorgeMart managers for turning this into a very difficult experience, trying to save my passed grandmother’s items…
