Clean and Useful
We have a 5'x5' storage bay. The location is convenient and the hours are long enough that it should be no burden to arrive and leave as needed. Our storage box is only about 4'8" - 4'9" deep as the walls are corrugated, so if you are counting on a full exact 5' measurement, it will be problems. The hallway is lit sufficiently, but there is no lighting in the units themselves. The elevator is large and easy to access at ground level, overall beyond those few minor nits to pick, a useful and functional facility. It will be sufficient for our needs.

If you think you know storage units, think again. I’ve rented here since 2021, across two different unit sizes, and the experience has been nothing like other facilities. The management at Extra Space Storage in Gambrills genuinely values its customers. They give advance notice about account changes, don’t surprise you with massive rent hikes, and address issues with your unit quickly. If you need help, ask for Kenny or Brian—Brian especially took the time to sit with me and walk through my options. I’ve never felt pressured or taken advantage of. Highly recommend.

The unit was decent overall, though it looked a bit beat up—like it had taken a hit at some point—and could’ve been more visually appealing. It also seemed to attract wasps occasionally, which wasn’t ideal. That said, the property itself was well-maintained and felt secure, which I really appreciated. Staff was professional and I didn’t have any major issues during my time here. Solid option if you’re looking for practical storage.
