I would give this place no stars if I could. My husband ended up in a coma and I was making payments on the storage with all of our belongings pictures of my deceased parents and my Sons earn who passed away in 2017 that was most important then the material things. The storage place would not let him put me as a authorized user they said go online but there was absolutely no option for it. I made a partial payment and the next day they sold my entire storage without even a phone call. Then I made another payment and the took it and me not knowing it was sold, make that make sense. Then when I went to make another that's when they dropped the bomb on me! My heart was in a million pieces not for the material things but for memory's of my parents and the remains of my only son!! They took my info to give to the buyer but I've not no call this far!!! The last lady most likely my belongings are in the trash, how do you throw a baby in the trash, you can read the scripture on his Earn. My 5 and 12 year old have no clothes now winter is here I'm so heartbroken I could see if I was not paying but I was. No one ever said you can't make a partial payment or they sell your shit!! Karma is sweet!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Good luck 🤞

This place is run by a bunch of crooks waiting for an opportunity to take what you have. Not even 15 days after the rental I was being charged another month. I missed a payment. And two days after I made a payment they auctioned off my belongings. They said they'd recover personal items and never did. THEY DON'T CARE. Carma

If you need to access your unit regularly, especially during the winter, this is not the place. They do not plow or salt the paths to the units. It can be slippery for cars and people. The streets may be clear, but the Elmhurst Public Storage has paths that are packed with snow and ice. I checked if this is a common problem among self-storage sites and most competitors have paths that are clear, drivable, and walkable. They always survey how your visit was, but they don't acknowledge or listen to your feedback. I will not be a repeat customer at this location.
