The Rental & Move in process was super simple. Unfortunately several days after I moved in I returned to access my unit and found it had flooded due to the poor drainage and flooding in front of and around my unit. I couldn’t reach anyone after hours so I rented another more secure unit online and immediately moved my belongings out & into the new dry unit. I have yet to speak with someone to cancel the flooded unit & report the issue. I can’t move out of the unit bc it’s charging me for another month. After speaking to another renter on site, I learned they had rented a unit a few doors down from my original unit & had the same issue. They reported the flood & damage and were transferred to another unit and compensated for the inconvenience with a discount on the new unit. I’m still on hold…. I would have thought the company would have used better judgment knowing there was a recent report of flooding in those units and not rented the same units without a disclaimer notice or having the issue corrected. Now I’m left with 2 rental charges & the hassle of reorganizing my belongings from the flood. The property is advertised as “secured” and only accessible via a secured gate requiring a code & “well lit. Unfortunately the gate has not worked the entire time I’ve been a customer & remains open 24/7. The property is not well lit. The only light is a dim light when u first enter the property. All units past the first row on the left, straight ahead by the actual light, & the units on the right r completely dark at night. With no secured gate or lighting, it is very very dark & unsafe for a female after dark. As for the customer service experience, To speak to an agent I’ve experienced very long wait times. The AI chat bot is somewhat helpful but really doesn’t help any more than the website. But again, rental & move in was the easiest experience and I appreciate that part.
There are things in each unit that typically would be where you could screw in a light bulb but none of them work. Also no lights whatsoever outside the units so if you don't have a flashlight with you, you cannot see anything. The gate is also messed up and either doesn't close all the way and one time I was stuck inside because the sensor on the gate wasn't working properly. Wouldn't recommend.
The storage space is secured. Additionally, when I had to payment changes the customer service person was very professional, as well as courteous. Thank you!
It was the first time in dealing with a fully automated auction. Calling giving my credit card number getting the information as in gate code and combination lock was great it took a few minutes to figure out how to get my deposit back online I'm not a computer with but everything is fine it was a good experience
Josh was my contact when I called Little Bear storage. I’ve had a crazy day today getting together all my extra creep out of my home and yard. Josh was so SUPER helpful. He even took the time to check and see if there were any discounts he could work out for me. He made the process SO easy and his attitude was just wonderful. I am so grateful for him and all his help. He really made this usually aggravating task quite enjoyable. He even had me laughing thru most of it. Thank you for all your help Josh!!
