I’m reaching out because I’m extremely frustrated with how our lease renewal and maintenance issues have been handled. Our current rent is $3,600, and we were just informed it would increase to $3,900—after being told we could negotiate our renewal. Meanwhile, I’ve been told that new tenants are being offered $3,200 for similar apartments. What makes this even more upsetting is that the apartments are cockroach infested, and despite multiple calls to have someone come out, nothing has been done. We’ve been patient, but this issue has gone on too long without resolution. Adding to this frustration, the property’s Facebook page regularly advertises promotions for new tenants—including one month of free rent, no deposit, gifts from the office, and rental prices far lower than what current residents are being charged. It feels like loyal tenants are being penalized while new tenants receive all the benefits. I also don’t know who to speak with at this point because Ashley and Joy have both given conflicting information. If this can’t be resolved fairly, I’ll need to contact corporate management directly and begin recording my interactions for documentation purposes. Please let me know who is actually in charge and can address both the rent increase and ongoing pest problem immediately. I will change my review once I get fair and just treatment from the office lady’s joy and Ashley that seem to make up the rules as they go.
Living at the Quarry here in Key West has been a Dream come true! The Apartments are rock solid, clean and spacious. The pool is fantastic. The neighbors have all been great. Our office and repair staff are very professional and friendly. Living here is living in paradise! - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Since the new property manager took over, rent for existing residents has gone up $400 while new tenants pay less—even though these apartments are supposedly “low- income housing.” Lease renewals are a nightmare—mine took three months, with endless pushback and repeated resubmissions of the same paperwork, only getting updates when I called. On top of that, my properly registered vehicle was unjustly towed for an alleged violation not in any rules, costing $561.75. Visitor parking for Buildings 8 and 9 is almost nonexistent, so guests are regularly towed. Management is disorganized, unresponsive, and unfair. Avoid if you can!
Living here has become increasingly frustrating for existing residents. Current residents are paying around $3,400 in rent, while new residents are being charged considerably less. The property is advertised as low-income housing, but that claim feels misleading based on the current pricing structure. Additionally, parking enforcement has become a major issue. Even residents with properly registered vehicles have had their cars towed, and management takes no responsibility—simply stating that it’s “up to the towing company.” It’s unacceptable that residents are forced to pay $500 to retrieve their own vehicles under these circumstances. Overall, the new management has created a stressful and disappointing living environment that does not reflect the value residents are paying for.
STAY AWAY. AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN from this establishment. I could only take it for 5 months and I had to get out of there. The entire business is shady. I put in all the work orders of broken things when I moved in. ( broken fridge, broken dishwasher, all sorts of damage around apartment, and outlets that did not work) There were constant excuses of why work orders could not be completed (to include near fatal car accidents involving maintenance workers) I left early march and advised my vacate intentions over a month ahead of time. I just received a call from a collections company about my account from the quarry because they are trying to charge me 10 days after I vacated because I didn't reiterate it over email 6 times. Also, don't make friends in the area because there is nowhere for them to park. Residents are allowed to have multiple vehicles and leave them in visitor spots. Place is disgusting, whatever broke when you move in will be broke your entire residency to include appliances. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.
