$0.18 / sqftI recently went to this self-storage facility while looking for a unit, and the experience alone was enough to make me look elsewhere. As someone who was ready to rent, I expected basic customer service and clear communication- but that wasn’t what I received. The girl I spoke with seemed rushed and uninterested in answering my questions. I was simply trying to understand pricing, unit sizes, and availability, but I felt like I was inconveniencing them. There was very little effort to explain options or help me figure out what would best suit my needs. First impressions matter, especially when you’re trusting a company with your belongings. Based on my experience just trying to get information, I didn’t feel confident that I would receive attentive or reliable service as a customer. I decided to continue my search elsewhere.
I rented a unit online, but when I went to put my stuff in the unit, these photos are what I discovered. My unit was supposed to be climate controlled, but it was just as hot inside as it was outside. I'm sure it was because the building my unit was in had been severely damaged, as were many other units on the property. I was not notified of any structural damage to the property or the units, and it was not disclosed on the website. Come to find out, the damage has been present for a year. I did not store my things there, because the unit was not as promised, and because I did not feel safe leaving my things there. The blue truck in the photo is where my unit is, and you can see the damage just down from it. I had to spend more money to go rent a unit somewhere else at the last minute, with my truck packed full of stuff.
The StorQuest team is outstanding! The lawn care and landscaping are truly impressive. I've been a loyal customer for many years and have witnessed various owners and management styles, but I can confidently say that GM Norman is the best I've encountered.
I had a pleasant experience. Norman was extremely helpful and his customer service was excellent. The units and the property were clean, well kept, and he had a variety of units inside and outside. Of all of the storage facilities i researched, storage depot had the best prices, cleanest units, and it's very close to my home for convenience. I highly recommend. There's even parking spaces for rent as well.
I called to see what the price would be if I downsized and they said it would be $70 cheaper, so I went in the next day to move everything over to find out that the price had changed to the point where downsizing to half the size would cost me more than I was already paying per month! Their prices, according to their manager, change every day. Then, as soon as I got home the next day (out of town), they sent me a notice saying my current rent was increasing… so I moved out asap. On top of that, the state of the facility made me nervous to leave my things there and also a little scared to be there at all. It seems like they’re doing repairs now, but when I first moved in, there were units blown open (as if someone threw dynamite into them), in disrepair, and covered in tattered tarps.
