Staff member Phillip made me feel welcome from the start. He explained everything in detail and left nothing out in a timely manner. My unit was exactly what I asked for and more. Extremely clean and close to a bathroom which is also above average. I am more then satisfied and believe others will be also. Especially the ones I refer. Thank u to Sparefoot and Extra storage. Look forward to my stay.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!…I do not recommend this storage facility…They raise the prices, after giving you an initial low price. CAN YOU SAY THEFT!? We had a horrible experience with theft! You can see inside the units very easily, and based on the other reviews, there seems to also be random robberies. People pay too much money per month to not have their things secured. Only if you want to store worthless items, and things of very low value, this is the place to do so. Use wisdom and find a more secure place, or do not rely on this place to keep it safe!! A second attempted break in happened, where someone used a long a mirror to see our stuff and steal again. Unacceptable!! Who is renting the other units, and have access to walk around and try to rob others?
If I could 0 stars, I would!!! My $22,000 worth of valuables — including irreplaceable items from my grandmothers — were stolen from my unit at "EXTRA SECURE STORAGE." Shady individuals are often on the premises, there is not much security besides one simple code at the beginning, there are no cameras inside the buildings, and the few outside seem to “NEVER WORK" when THEFT happens. Facility did nothing to help or taken any responsibility for me losing all expensive belongings. No accountability on their parts at all. Yet they raise the rent almost every three months and do nothing to actually protect your valuables!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! Don't leave your valuable and irreplaceable items here, because you might lose it ALL! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND HEARTBROKEN! Don't believe them when they tell you there are no BREAK INS...Because you will be devastated! 💔
With more than fifty years of experience renting storage units, I have rarely encountered a facility that will be remembered primarily for its hostility. Much of that impression stems from the conduct of the on site manager, Sammy B. On Monday morning, the office did not open at 9:30 as posted. Calls to both the company mobile phone and the office line went unanswered. When Sammy B eventually arrived, she assigned me an indoor vehicle space that contained a structural beam positioned in the center of the unit, making it impossible to park a car inside. When I raised this issue, she responded in an angry and dismissive manner, lectured me about the property speed limit, and then canceled my reservation without my consent. To the property owner, please be advised that the conduct described above raises serious concerns under federal and state disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act, both of which require reasonable accommodations and prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability. The treatment I experienced as a disabled senior and veteran may constitute unlawful discriminatory conduct. I urge you to take corrective action, provide proper training for your employees, and ensure full compliance with applicable disability access and accommodation requirements. Failure to do so may expose the property and its ownership to formal complaints, regulatory review, and potential legal liability.
When you rent a unit from one company and another buys it out, you're always nervous about changes in service, rate hikes, and corporate indifference. However, the crew at Extra Space in Solana Beach have shown themselves to be kind, considerate, efficient, and conscientious. It's a refreshing experience to receive such kind treatment. So, two enthusiastic thumbs up!
Super easy and staff was extremely helpful in explaining the cost, looking with us for the best unit to fit our needs and going through the lease. The process was quick and easy!
