CubeSmart Self Storage - San Marcos

This place is one of the worst “San Marcos” location. Was late 2 times left at 10:03 and 10:20 due to my car battery drained. They gave me and my friend 3 days to vacate never again will I use them. The manager he was the worse he never gave a warning just right off the top 3 days to get all our stuff . It was a 10x30 so I had to pay for help and truck it came to 450 and I didn’t get all of it and they locked me out. Do not rent at the San Marcos cub smart thumbs down

I have been renting from CubeSmart on and off for many years now and the staff there has been accommodating and very friendly. Krista and Santiago are always very welcoming, pleasant to talk to and ready to answer any questions I may have. Their service keeps me wanting to come back. Because of this, I have asked family and friends to come here even if they just need a little or a lot more space outside of their home to store items until they finish any projects they're working on. Wonderful service is hard to find.  You should come here too!

I will be moving my things out of this facility immediately! I’ve only had my unit for about 2 months and I’ve only visited a few times. Tonight, I was inside of my unit going through some things and then decided to wrap up my hair before leaving. There is a light inside of my unit so the door was low (NOT CLOSED) to keep out the bugs. The property manager then pulled up and started yelling at me to come out and open the door fully. Apparently the door needs to be up all the way and that is fine. However, the property manager was extremely rude and unnecessarily harsh when confronting me. I am a woman that was by myself, and there was no need for him to have such an attitude when explaining the rules to me. He obviously doesn’t understand how to treat people with respect. I am disgusted by my encounter with him and I no longer feel comfortable going to my unit with that type of person managing. My next visit will be to gather my things and leave. Once again I have only ever been there about 4-5 times in the two months that I’ve owned the unit, so I don’t know why the manager just assumed that I was up to no good…. That was not the proper way to handle that situated. You can enforce whatever rules that are in place while still treating people with respect. What an awful and disheartening encounter! I will take my $200 a month and pay a company that treats people like human beings.
