I've been storing here for years now. I have both a storage unit and a parking spot for my vehicle and utility trailer. Wilma and Smitty have always been so helpful. As soon as I met them I knew I wanted to store my things here. I love that they live on site and how knowledgeable about what size unit I would need for what I had to store. It's so refreshing to deal with genuine, sincere people. You can tell they love what they do and it really reflects with how clean and comfortable the facility is. Thanks for all you do Wilma and Smitty, you're appreciated.

I've been storing at this facility for about a year now. This place has always been 5 star in my eyes until recently. Bottom line is my unit leaked, and destroyed a mattress, and a box of unreplaceable family photos. When brought to the attention of the manager, there was no apology, or was I asked where, or how the water damaged occurred. I just got a copy of a contract waved my way, saying #23.... that's pretty much where is says there not responsible for water damage. Apparently a lot of the tenants have storage unit insurance? Didn't know there was such a thing. Aside from my recent events.... The grounds, and units are clean, and the management lives on site. To me the units seem secure except for the fact that the gate is always open.

Have stored my RV here for 8 years. A basic storage yard with fairly level gravel and a lot of converted shipping containers. Good and easy access to 101. Convenient location in industrial area right behind a big Renner Petroleum station. Price is about average for the area....maybe a little bit lower....BUT: The open parking area of the facility is very weedy and unkempt with more than a few derelict old junker trailers, cars, boats and general trash. As of early Sept 2025, the place looks just awful. Come see for yourself! Recently, my inconsiderate space neighbor worked on their big old trailer's roof with a pressure washer which destroyed the roof membrane and spewed a big mess all over my rig and space...I was not pleased. Thankfully, that junker is now gone...but the mess is still there. Security has periodically been an issue...some thefts, break ins but that has improved in recent years. I am now considering a better place for my rig. NOTE: the yard's owner is now taking action, reportedly with big changes just now getting underway. We'll see if the place shapes up going forward...and soon, too. If not, I'm moving on...

First, I’ll disclose: I am not a tenant here. My experience with this facility has been through my friendship with a longtime (14 year) Payless tenant, a friendship that has afforded me a pretty solid vicarious experience with this place. My friend stores a trailer at Payless. He stores things he doesn’t have space for and things that should not be stored in a residence, in the trailer. He has sometimes fallen behind in rent, but always come up with the back rent plus the many late fees and lien fees that were assessed when he fell behind. So, he’s not the perfect tenant, but he pays through the the nose as his penance. A year ago, the owners rented space to several vehicles which they situated so close to my friend’s trailer that he cannot even open the doors to access his stuff (which he’d like to pare down). And at the beginning of the month, he was given 30 days to get out. After 14 years. He phoned them to try to arrange a little more time and the owner threatened to tow his trailer to the street. He feels powerless, being unable to clear out his trailer, but unable to stay. He does not want to tow the whole thing full; he wants to take the opportunity to clear out. And access is part of what he’s been paying for all his time. And he’s spent a lot of money with these people - at least $14,000 over the years. So i want to warn people against this place because they feel nothing for the people (their customers) who’ve provided them with a living all this time. And that’s a threat to anyone who entrusts their precious belongings (or just their belongings) to their care - the care of Payless Storage.
